Precision Chains have been a key player in the Escalator Industry for over 40 years and have been a supplier to some of the largest public transport industries in the UK.

Our knowledge and expertise have been integral to creating a variety of heavy duty bespoke designs, however we also provide Standard Escalator series for use in a variety of commercial Applications.

These chains are usually of simpler design and aren’t as heavy duty as some of the other transit conveyors we manufacture however they still come with our quality guarantee, giving you reassurance and peace of mind in your product.

13KV

The first of these commercial series is the 13KV. Originally it was manufactured with solid Nylon rollers, however we prefer to supply them with a much more reliable roller wheel, compromising of a nylon Hub but utilising a polyurethane tyre, similar to some of our heavier duty chains where polyurethane tyres have proved overwhelmingly successful.

RTK

An alternative style to the original KV series and unlike the 13KV series its roller wheel is not mounted on an axle point. This model of conveyor chain uses solid polyurethane wheels however can be supplied using a polyurethane tyred roller more similar to the 13KV, which offers better performance.

Heavy Duty Escalator Step Chains

During our time manufacturing Escalator Conveyor Chains, our knowledge in this area has led us to develop and produce a number of chains for a variety of applications. Alongside the industry standard chains we produce for commercial escalator applications, we also produce much more heavy duty conveyor chains for use in more demanding commuter scenarios.

We have worked alongside one of the largest public transport companies in England and helped give them peace of mind that the conveyor chains they use are not only safe, but also economically viable.

LHD-M

These chains are usually of a more complex design in order to handle the heavier commuter loads that they will witness on a day to day basis.

Precision machined sidebars and inner components to allow for tighter interference fitting and better wear performance. Often they incorporate specially turned greasing components to apply even lubrication along the load bearing components.

Extra Heavy Duty Escalator Step Chain

MH-A

The height of our bespoke design and engineering solutions, these chains are designed to traverse much steeper pitches than the regular commercial series of chains, this combined with the much greater level of traffic, requires these chains to have a much higher tensile strength and wear durability.

These chains usually incorporate the most intense design features in order to be as reliable as possible, especially considering the safety margin for these conveyors are particularly important. This is why we put quality and reliability at the forefront of our manufacturing process.
